History

The Alano Español Perro has a rich history that can be traced back to ancient times. It is believed that the breed was first introduced to Spain by the Phoenicians, who used them as war dogs. Over time, the breed evolved to become a versatile hunting and herding dog, as well as a fierce fighting dog.

Despite their popularity in Spain, the Alano Español Perro faced a decline in numbers during the early 20th century due to the rise of other breeds. However, thanks to the efforts of dedicated breeders, the Alano Español Perro has made a comeback and is now recognized as a valuable breed.
